Def: a Black swan event is a high-impact event that is difficult to predict under normal circumstances, but that in retrospect, appears to have been inevitable.

Black swan preparedness was built for the purpose of providing Alaskans with access to the highest quality preparedness tools, goods, and information available, with the goal of furthering the survival & comfort of ourselves, families, and community in the event of unforeseen catastrophes.

whether it's a major earthquake, fire, pandemic, economic turmoil, fallout of war, or our own personal food, security, & medical independence, the last several years have made it apparent that we are all on our own. nobody is coming to save us. we must be ready to be our own first line of defense.

with no fancy college degree or certifications to brandish about, I'll simply say that i have spent a lifetime immersed in preparedness lifestyle, camping & bushcraft, hunting & fishing, homesteading, family life, animal husbandry, gardening, diy and the like. i want to share what i know, to help people be more self-sufficient & ready for disaster if it comes knocking.

i want sane, moral, forward-looking Alaskans to be able to help those they love when crisis strikes & the safety nets fail.
